Happy Memorial Day, readers! Unfortunately I'm not barbequing or hanging out with friends today because I must work on putting together my pre calculus extra credit project, and working on other projects...but yesterday made up for it, I'd say! Nat came to church with me and my family, which was really nice, and since my church is held at an art and garden center, we took some photos. I let him be the model for a bit, and though he didn't say anything, I'm sure he enjoyed it. ;) It was fun being on the other end of the camera for a change. Though I got my share fair of photos, too!

After leaving the art and garden center, we drove into San Rafael and went to Sol Food. Sol Food has delicious Puerto Rican food, and the restaurant is always packed. This time I got a Pollo sandwich... I don't what they do to it, but it is sooo yummy. We took some more photos after that around San Rafael. :)

It ended up being a very nice day yesterday (despite the random rain on Saturday), so maybe Nor Cal has hope of summer finally coming? Oh wait. I just checked the weather for this week. Hrmm... in the 60s, cloudy with chances of rain... Tough luck. ;) OH WELL! Talk to you all soon...! x P.S. Sorry, this post is somewhat picture heavy...! I just liked them all!

Aaaand it's raining again. We had a few dry days, but then rain again! I think it's weirdly funny that it's colder in Northern California right now than in places that someone might think would be colder in comparison... like places in the Midwest. I hear it's hot there, now! Aghh, well, I'm waiting for summer weather over here, still.

I'm about to go to my friend Miranda's house for somewhat of a girl's night/pre calculus-extra credit-project night (one of the many projects I have to do...!) I hope you all will have a sunny, beautiful, long Memorial Weekend! I shall be doing lots of homework... but hopefully having a little bit of fun too. ;) I can't wait till summer is finally here...! x

Hey dears... :) Happy Thursday! I'm going to keep this post short because I have a lot to do tonight still, like studying and review sheets and other stuff. But I hope you all are well! I feel like I don't post as frequently as I want to, and it's bothering me... As well as lack of commenting and responding to comments. I'm hoping it will get easier when summer is here. I still have 3ish weeks left, but I am now feeling like I'm definitely ready for it to be over. Every day seems more and more difficult to get through. And strangely enough, (though it's the end of the school year), I'm feeling overwhelmed because I have 4 projects for my classes that are all due in the next week or so...!

I'm going to leave it with that. Don't worry too much about me, I'll be fine and finish the school year strong! See you all soon! x

Beautiful Saturdays

Heyo! Happy Sunday... :) I hope you all are well. Can you believe that it is almost June? Time is going by so fast. It feels like the beginning of this school year was just yesterday... and now it's almost over, and seniors are graduating, and it will be summer 2011! I can't wrap my mind around it.

Yesterday the boy and I went to see African Cats - yes, we spend our time seeing documentary-esque movies about cats in Kenya - it was probably the coolest/cutest thing ever. :) Oh how I love lions and cheetahs and all cats...! Afterwards, we got some dinner and Nat took my photos for me! I love the occasional times that I don't have to awkwardly lug the tripod around... when I get to have a real, live photographer... It's very much fun. He is a good sport about it too, despite my griping now and then (...I tend to want things to be perfect...).

I'm proud to say that this whole outfit is thrifted! Minus the jewelry. I got these platforms pretty recently from a goodwill in a different town. I think they are great and are going to be very useful come summer. They are comfortable too! Anyway, we took these photos nearby a funeral home, and I was a bit concerned that we weren't supposed to be there... But the gate wasn't locked, in my defense! Oh well. :) Have a restful Sunday! x

It's almost Friday! The weeks seem to be flying by. We have less than a month left of school over here - I'm excited but nervous. Where did the time go? After this year, I only have senior year left...and then... well, I'm not sure what's in store for me yet. Hopefully some good things.

I've gotten a bit sick (i.e. sore throat) the past few days, and I've been staying up rather late so that's not helping... I want to try to get all my homework and studying finished early so I can go to bed by 11 tonight... I'm so glad that the weekend is here though. School is just so exhausting, frustrating, and stressful as many of you probably know.

I made a scarf into a head band-like thing again today. I thought it added the needed burst of color to this outfit... Personally I think they are really fun accessories. :) Especially with my short hair. Surprisingly the weather let up yesterday and today, so it was actually hot. In the 70s! But, if I'm not mistaken, it's supposed to cool down and maybe even rain again this weekend. Oh well! Summer will be here before I know it. x (p.s. remember to check out my tumblr!)

Into The Great Wide Yonder

Rain, rain, go away...! California is rainy and cold again, my friends. While I love the rain, and half want it to stay (to keep my surroundings as green as possible before they turn golden again...), I was so pumped for spring/summer warm weather! But anyway, I took these photos in a window of time after school that wasn't raining, but now I think it may be again. Oh well! If it lasts then I'll have a good excuse to cuddle up with hot chocolate and listen to the rain pour, with my little candle flickering... :)

Maybe this has been going on for a long time now, but I'm really starting to consider it - bloggers are making decisions to buy less and only spend money on pieces that will last and are worth it. I think this is a great idea, but I'm the kind of person that just likes to find a bunch of cute, cheap stuff. It doesn't last though... especially the said cute items from Forever 21. But I've decided when school lets out for the summer, I'm going to go through my closet and do a cleanse. I know I don't wear a lot of it, and there are pieces from Forever 21 that are gross and worn out that I'm still keeping for some reason. Anyway, I'll keep ya'll updated on what happens.

Oh, guess what I finally did? Started a tumblr, that's right! I don't know why; probably to aid me in my growing skills at procrastination... Anyway, you can find me here! :) Have a lovely Tuesday... x
