Chambray

dress: urban outfitters, chambray shirt: J. Crew, purse: forever 21, shoes: my mom's
Happy Friday! I hope you all are well. Yesterday Nathaniel and I had a fun day goofing off in Petaluma, taking photos and enjoying the sun. Nat is getting into film photography, and I think I may start soon as well! Anywho, it wasn't as warm yesterday, but I luckily brought my new chambray shirt along. My kind mom bought it for me at J. Crew as I had been dying to get one. They are just so versatile! And this one that I bought is beautiful. :) I can't wait to style it up!

Anyway, we had a nice day together as we tend to do, but what completed it was watching Ponyo that evening! It is such a cute movie. I've always loved Hayao Miyazaki's films, and this one was just fantastic. Just so creative and stunning! It makes me want to rewatch all his other films. One of my other favorites is Kiki's Delivery Service which I just watched a few weeks ago... But I also love Spirited Away, though that one is far more scary then either Ponyo or Kiki's Delivery Service!

Today I'm accompanying Nat and his mom and sister to a few art museums in San Francisco, and I'll be leaving for that in just a bit. I'm sure I'll have photos to show from that in my next post! I hope you all have a great weekend! ♥
currently listening to... Nothing!

  1. Kiki's Delivery Service was the first of his films I ever saw, and it's still my favourite. Spirited Away stole my heart though, and I was just watching it the other night actually. There's just something about those films that gets to me like no other can.

Can't wait to see the photos, bet they'll be awesome. Hope you have a fantastic time and a great weekend :D

  3. It's so funny that you mention Miyazaki films, because Zak and I have been making our way through watching as many as we can find! I really love all of them, especially Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Castle in the Sky. They're really all wonderful though!
Anyway, the colors in that dress are so pretty, and I love the chambray shirt! Looking lovely as always! :)

  6. This is awesome and really chic! I love the print on the dress and the colors of the dress with that very light chambray. I'm a fan of Hayao Miyazaki as well...my favorite of his movies is My Neighbor Totoro. I also really liked Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and Spirited Away. Kiki's Delivery Service is one that I haven't seen, though. I'll have to finally check that one out!

  13. That was nice of your mom to buy the shirt! I know I had been on the lookout for one while thrifting (guess everyone loves theirs as well and didn't donate them!) but was having no luck so I splurged and bought one online. I do love it a lot though and it was totally worth it!

Oh my, an art museum sounds like a blast! Hope you had fun. :)
