Everybody Knows

chambray button up: j. crew, skirt: goodwill, belt: borrowed from a friend
Hiya! I hope you guys liked yesterday's few teaser photos of my outfit today! I decided that I'd just post the outfit photos now. Nat and I did go and have a makeshift picnic in the park on Monday though. :) We got Italian Delight, went to the park, took out a blanket and enjoyed the nice summer breeze. We took photos and talked and it proved to be a beautiful day! Unfortunately the summer is running out, so we'll have to live it up till it does...

So, I have again witnessed the versatility of this chambray button up! I just love it. :) What a fantastic purchase. I think it was well worth the money. I swear that if I was rolling in the dough I would shop at J. Crew for many essential wardrobe pieces! Though nothing beats the thrill of thrifting... I must say. ;)

I'll keep it at that for today. Hmm...The rest of my week? A going away party for my friend on Friday, aaaand tomorrow it's orientation day at my school... There's always that initial excitement of seeing everyone again after being away for a few months, but (now watch as the cynic in me grows...) after a week of being back at school I'll remember why I hate everyone there. :D Hah. Only slightly kidding. Have a great day, folks! xx

  1. That floral skirt is lovely on you, you look great. I knew I'd like that purse when I saw it in the other post, it's so pretty and looks like it could hold lots of handy stuff.

I usually eat my lunches in a nearby park and bring a blanket with me. Helps break up the work day and lets me enjoy at least a little of the summer sun.

  6. I am loving the floral combo with the skirt and the bag. I love how the patterns don't clash, but instead flow great into each other. :)
I really need to check out J. Crew's stuff. I've thrifted so much, I've almost forgotten about retail. haha

  8. I'm loving the nineties feel of this ensemble, as well as the play with the the two floral patterns. It all works so well together.... nicely done! :) And yes... please please soak up as much summer as you can. Having already started school, the newness of seeing everybody again has worn off... back to the old grind of learning how to be happy... even when annoying people surround you.. haha!

  9. Oh, love the button up! I've been wanting one for a while. Maybe I'll splurge on one for the fall. I know what you mean about school. The summer is so lovely, and I miss the routine of school sometimes, but once I get back I just wish it was summer again.

  10. Adorable outfit! I love the pretty chambray blouse with that skirt and those boots. JCrew is a great shop, but just too rich for my tastes. Or rather my wallet;)

  11. hahahaha elanor! you're so funny! I laughed so hard with the last line of you remembering why you hate everyone :P you have to admit it's sort of true, we all feel it... there's always those few (very feeeew) people we just wouldn't mind not seeing at school :P! hahaha rolling in the dough! Oh, I would be so happy, but nothing beats thrifting, though I am not as good as you are :)
