Something's Coming

dress, & heels: goodwill, crop top: thrifted, purse: vintage dooney & burke, etsy
WOW! It's August...already! I'm a little taken aback. Where did you come from, August? And who said you could come so early? I'm enjoying the summer, thank you very much. It's always when summer really gets going that it has to end. Well...scratch that! I still have a few weeks left before my senior year of high school starts. Gotta make the best of it! How will you guys spend the remainder of the summer?

Yesterday this favorite mother of mine (well, technically my only mother, too...) came home from a trip to Minnesota (our homeland) that she had been on for a week. We had made plans beforehand to see a youth production of West Side Story at 2 together... which turned out to be great! It's one of my favorite musicals so it was fun to see with my mom, who also loves it. I'm going to add a song from the musical below; the one that I named this post after, "Something's Coming".

We later went to Petaluma to grab dinner and take some photos. I had delicious chicken tacos and iced tea. Definitely going to order that again next time! It was yuuummmmmyyy. :) I wore my 90's denim pinafore dress with just a bandeau under, but decided that the Nor Cal weather would be windy, so I chose to layer a bit with my crop shirt that I recently thrifted. I was content in my get-up till later that evening when the temps dropped to the 60s. As much as all you who are suffering in the heat dislike it...I might kill for a night when I can just wear a tank top and shorts and not be freezing! Haha. Ah well. Happy Monday!

And It sounds like you had a fun day with your mom! I've never actually seen a performance of West Side Story, but I have seen bits and pieces of the film, and the songs are always so catchy!

  5. I know what you mean about summer being so close to the end. I can´t believe it´s August already. Gotta make the most of it. Although the weather we´ve been having isn´t helping. In fact, it actually rained today, and it got so cold that I am actually wearing tights. Oh well.
I have a question for you.I don´t know if you can help me or not. How did you get your text to be the same with as your photos? I wanted to have that on my blog too, but I don´t know how to do it.
