Guest Post From... Coco Maria!

Hello Missing Lovebirds readers! This is Nicole from Coco Maria! Lovely Miss Elanor asked me to do a guest post while she's away looking at colleges, and I figured what better to talk about than my own college experience? It wasn't long ago (if you don't consider three years a long time) that I was touring campuses, taking the SAT and ACT, and making a very stressful decision. Now, I'm a junior at Sarah Lawrence College and I genuinely love it. I'm studying English and writing poetry, and I can't think of a better place I could be. Back when I was applying to colleges, I knew I wanted to go to Sarah Lawrence, and really most of my other schools were just back ups, but I know the decision isn't so crystal clear for everyone. I think the most important thing, when deciding where to go to school, or even where to work or where to live, is to focus on you and what you want. It's easy to get swayed by friends, boyfriends, and even family into thinking you want something that you really don't want. If being on the campus makes you excited, if you feel comfortable at the school, if it seems like the school loves and strongly supports the programs you're interested in, then it's probably the best choice for you. So, I guess that's my advice to all of you applying to college this year - find a place that makes you happy!

As for my outfit, I think it's pretty funny that this look ended up something like a "uniform" when I'm posting about school. Of course, I don't wear a uniform in college, but it's still amusing. I'm very into layering sweaters over dresses and skirts this fall, like I did in this outfit, and I just picked up a few new sweaters from Forever 21 so I'm guessing that pattern's not going away anytime soon!
