dress: a gift, thrifted, cardigan: thrifted, vintage, boots: thrifted, vintqge
Don't be misguided by my lack of coat and/or thick tights in this post... I was wearing a coat over this sweater the rest of the day. It's been getting too chilly not to! As for these extremely sheer nylons... Let's just say I wanted some more-sheer tights, but not this sheer. And on top of that, they ripped later this day - and that was the first day I wore them. Bummer! But the good news of the day points at THESE BOOTS. I'm so in love with them and I thrifted them from Goodwill, which makes it even better. They are leather and old, but in surprisingly good shape. They will get a lot of use when I head back to Seattle (which, by the way, I'm pining to do now).
Like a lot of you (I'm assuming), Christmas has definitely come out of the blue this year. I don't feel especially in the "holiday mood", but I guess have five days to remedy that! I have purchased gifts as I've mentioned on the blog before - and we have also decorated a bit, but... Maybe it's because I haven't been watching Christmas movies?! What are you doing with your families or friends to get in the Christmas mood? I'd love for you to share your thoughts in the comment section! & I'll see you soon! xxoo

Sending you lots of Christmas love! Sara
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit Elanor!! Yeah, the thing that sucks with tights is that they can rip so easily. The tights I swear by are from Target and they're only $5.00 too! Another one of my favorites is tights by H&M they have a great selection too.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah... I agree with you about not being in the Christmas spirit. Sadly, as I've gotten older, I haven't been excited to celebrate but hopefully that will change!

I really love that sweater. Such a sweet little pattern!

I love the pattern of that cardigan.
ReplyDeleteMy family decorates A LOT and we also did a lot of town events that happened in early december. That can be hard when you don't live in the same area as family though. The sure-fire way to get me into a Christmas mood though, is to watch White Christmas (preferable with my sister).
Uh those boots are unreal! I have been having the same problem getting in the holiday spirit. I think a Christmas movie and hot chocolate or egg nog always helps a bit. Maybe I should do that. Haha
ReplyDeleteJust discovered your blog and I'm in looove! Such a cute outfit. And I haven't been watching enough Christmasy films either..Miracle on 34th Street, National's Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story...I love them all!

Love your outfit!
ReplyDeleteYou are cute :)
Those boots really are perfect...great find!
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas decorations are just so cute! And it is always so cold when I take my coat off to do photos - I have been leaving my coat on more often in them lately. And I absolutely HATE when tights rip just by wearing them - especially on the first wear

It's hard to get into the holiday mood pretty quick, especially when school. Luckily, I've done most of the baking and our house is quite decorated and holidayrrific (is that a word?? we can pretend k) so I'm feelin' the Christmas vibe. I'm sure it'll hit you soon, Miss Elanor!
ReplyDeleteYer lookin' cute, and you're right, it totally has gotten chillier! Why, just yesterday it was almost 60 degrees, but this morning it was in the 20s. It's funny how weather changes so quickly.
Those boots are amazing. Goodwill, seriously? You thrift the best items.
