Thank you for all of your comments on my last post! I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who has been lacking in commenting lately. I guess this is a busy season - but aren't they all? I suppose it's just about making time to do it. And if you don't have time, you don't have time. I, however, know I have time - especially now that I'm on break. It's simply a matter of being lazy or not!

These photos are from this past Saturday when my mom and I went Christmas shopping together. Chipping away at the list! I wish I were one of those people who got their shopping finished by December or even earlier, but I'm pretty sure that is never going to happen. How are you when it comes to getting your shopping done? Not only did we have fun looking around the small shops, but of course we had to get our obligatory coffee and a treat to split. Delish!

A few weeks back I was sent this skirt from my sponsor Sugarlips, and finally I have taken photos and gotten it up here! Such a hassle having my computer down for all that time. But anyway, I love the print and how it is pleated! Quite a darling and delicate piece, isn't it? I had fun roughing it up a bit with the layered jean-jacket-over-hoodie look - which, by the way, is one of my favorite looks as of late. PEACE xxoo

  1. That skirt is so unique! There are so many pleated skirts out there, but none of them are this interesting. Love the way you styled it!
And yes, no matter how early you start, last-minute gift-shopping is inevitable. Especially for people like me, who don't get out of college till the very last minute ):

    Either way, lovely post.

  3. Your outfit is adorable! I love how you paired the polka dot skirt with the cowboy boots and jean jacket, they look awesome together :)
I get what you're saying about commenting, I've been lacking too! I just can't seem to get enough spare time to sit down and check out peoples posts / blogs as much as I want to.
Hah, as for the Christmas shopping, I've been shopping since early November and I'm still not done!

  4. This is so beautiful Elanor! Your photos capture light and life so perfectly. I always love seeing other blogger's family life/members in their posts. Your mom is gorgeous! Looks like the perfect day and weather to Christmas shop in. I just love how you layered this outfit too. It reminds me that I need to do the hoodie under the jacket thing more!

I've been the same way with commenting! I feel guilty at times, but really right now for me their is just limited time in the day and life over computer takes priority. Nothing to feel bad about :)

Have a lovely day Elanor! xo Marisa

  12. Aw your new skirt is very cute! I love the double polka dot prints in it and your jean jacket works perfectly with it.
I, too, have been lacking in commenting and receiving comments. I suppose it goes hand-in-hand. There's been way too much grad school work this past month for me to have a day to sit and get through my blog feed. I plan on remedying that asap though!

  15. ELANORR! Your pictures are always so amazing. They're so ~you~ and I just like how I could probably be able to recognize them even if they weren't on your blog. The colors are so pretty!

Your necklace is pretty, and your skirt is pretty, and oh, you're pretty, too. :)

I hope you got everything cleared off your Christmas to-buy list! I still have to wrap a few little gifts for friends... and buy one or two more... normally I'm on top of things but I just got wiped out this year for some reason! Have a lovely week dearlet :D

  16. I told myself I would get my Christmas shopping done by December 1st...needless to say, that didn't happen! However, I was able to get most of it done in one fell swoop yesterday, so I'm still feeling pretty proud.

    I love that skirt!
