Upper Queen Anne

dress & boots: thrifted, jean jacket: kristie's, bag: marshall's, scarf: a gift
This post is a bit of a conglomerate of photos from this past Friday, and from the Friday before last. Both days Rachael and I went up to Queen Anne to do errands/read and drink coffee. There's a Trader Joe's and Safeway up there, so I got some groceries - mainly veggies and fruits, because SPU doesn't really provide a great selection of foods like that. And for the most part, Trader Joe's is priced well so typically I'm not spending too much money when I shop there every few weeks.

I wore this particular outfit yesterday when the weather was so fantastically beautiful. It has started raining again here in Seattle, but Friday it held off until later. I was perfectly content wearing this many layers, though I think the scarf certainly helped. My mom sent me it along with a little beret! As my hair gets worse as I continue to grow it out, it will be good to just cover it all up some days and avoid hair altogether, haha.

Speaking of my hair, I can't decide it I should just let it grow and grow and not care - or if I should start going to some salon and have them begin shaping it different/thin it out. I'd rather not pay $30 for just that, so we'll see. I'd love any advice you guys have on growing your hair out! See you soon! xxoo E

  1. Your outfit is just lovely! I think that maybe you should take this time to try a different shape. Maybe add some top layers or get bangs cut differently. I always feel like change is fun. Good luck darling :)

  3. I think I mentioned this on another blog post of yours, but when I was growing mine out, I found that the thing that helped most was awesome hair accessories! I bought a lot of oversized bows and clips and stuff and that drew great attention to my hair/face. (since I usually have really short spiky hair, I need to have focus up there :]) best of luck with it! :D

  4. This might be one of my favorite outfits! Probably because I am obsessed with jean jackets/vests. Trader Joe's is seriously my favorite! We just got one, and grocery has been the absolute best ever since.

  7. Super cute outfit, I love your jacket. Unfortunately I don't have any advice on growing hair out as the last time I did so I was only a little one. But I know what you mean about sometimes just wanting to cover it all up and not deal with hair at all - story of my life!

  9. Cute cute outfit, 'specially those pretty tights! I'm sure you'll figure out what you want to do with your hair--if you're thinking about growing it out, that's probably what you want. I don't have advice for growing hair out since mine has never been super short, but I'm sure if it ever gets untamable, a simple haircut would help!

  10. ADORE the color of that dress. Obsessed, even. Btw, if your hair's bugging you and you really do want to grow it out, it might be worth the money.
