Yesterday night was another one of those unexpected and perfectly sporadic nights that ended in complete euphoria. Rachael and I decided to go on a short jaunt to Fremont around 8 pm last night, simply to stretch our legs and talk, et cetera. We were planning to walk and then return to SPU -- but boy, did that definitely not happen. Around 9 pm I received a call from Kristie saying that there were two free tickets available for the Local Natives concert that was happening that night (in fact, they would be going onstage at 10 pm). Of course Rachael and I freaked out. Last minute tickets to see a band that I had been wanting to see anyway? Um, yes please.

The next thing I knew, we were taking a bus to the U-District to the Neptune Theater to see the Local Natives live in concert. We got there basically 10 minutes before the band came on, and as you can see from the top photo, our standing spots weren't too shabby! The Local Natives were amazing, by the way, and now I can't stop listening to Hummingbird, their latest album. In short, it just ended up being once of those fantastic nights where you can't believe everything played out as it did, but you are so happy that it all happened. xo
