Pacific City, OR, Spring Break 2014

Part two of my Spring Break adventures took place in Pacific City, OR where I road-tripped down with my friend Rachael and her family. If you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen a few photos of the gorgeous sand dunes and sandstone rock formations that abounded here. The colors seen here were beautiful, to say the least. I did some research and discovered that Cape Kiwanda has high levels of colored quartz in the rock which is why there are so many colors. And because sandstone weathers easily, this creates the interesting shapes and formations of the rocks.

Today I move back into the dorms and tomorrow is the start of spring quarter...! I'm ready for warm weather, so so ready. I'm excited to start laying outside, soaking up the vitamin D that Seattle begins to give off in the spring. Happy April, everyone! xx
