Saturday, Nathaniel and I went on a lovely hike and picnic date to sort of "celebrate" our 3 "month-iversary", and it was a perfectly wonderful day! It's funny how time seems to go by so quick , and I feel like we've gotten to know each other so well... but it's only been 3 months! Albeit, we had become closer friends a while before dating, so that could explain a thing or two. :)
It was a gorgeous day in the high 70s; perfect for hiking! I'm not one to hop on a chance to hike usually, but this seemed like something I couldn't pass up... I mean, we were going to picnic (i kind of love picnics...) on top of a mountain (big hill?) overlooking a gorgeous valley! So we did. And this time, I wore sort-of good shoes! I mean, my feet didn't hurt so I think that means they were good enough! We ate yummy sandwiches from Perry's Deli, very fresh strawberries and blueberries, iced tea, and Milano cookies! It was delicious and at the top where we were, there was a nice breeze so even though we weren't in the shade, it was cool. Along the hike up, Nat took many photos and then even more after we ate. So, like many of my posts lately, there are a rather large amount of photos... :)
I'll wrap this up here before I ramble with a word or two about recent world events... My heart goes out to Norway after the tragedy, and also, to the loved ones of Amy Winehouse. To read a post that tells exactly what I would like to say in regards to Amy's death vs the slaughter in Norway, see Annebeth's post, For Norway and Amy. She hit the nail on the head. Also, on a completely separate note, I got a Bloglovin' finally! I was resistant at first because I didn't really want to mess with different methods of following and stuff... but please, now that I have one, definitely follow me! ;) Talk to you soon, loves! xx
