Fresh Start

Hi to whoever is reading this... I've been feeling like Missing Lovebirds has been a little lacking on comments lately, which is slightly bothering me. I don't try to blog to get followers or comments or anything, but it does make me wonder when stats are static or when comments are less than normal. Is it because of content? Quality of content? The writing? Maybe people are just busy? Haha... Someone enlighten me.

Anyway, today as I'm posting is the last day of summer. I go back to school tomorrow and it's all over, kids! Well I hope not. I'm pretty excited, despite the pressure of the future and college looming over my shoulder. I finally got my actual schedule yesterday so my classes for this year are as follows; 1st period AP biology, 2nd period sculpture & ceramics, 3rd period myth and fantasy (a type of English class that my school offers!), 4th period AP calculus, 5th period economics, and 6th period advanced treble choir.

It's my first year only having 6 classes and I'm really excited! I get out at lunch on Tuesdays, which will be beautiful... :) Despite having 2 difficult AP classes, I think I'm going to do well and have a good year. Fingers crossed! See you soon, friends! xx

    Good luck with your studies. I hear other bloggers complaining about low stats lately & I think there may be an issue at blogger's end??? I tend to comment first thing in the morning & the evening, but also go through stages where I comment alot or not at all ... So I think commenting is just not consistent.

    I think your content is great!! I also think that during summer months people get a tad lazying with commenting and just read the posts. I'm a bit guilty of that one. I've noticed a shortage of comments on lots of blogs so I'm gonna chuck it up to internet trends of the summer.

    Your outfit is cute! I really love the collar on the dress.

    Best wishes w/ starting back at school. Such an exciting time. Don't worry about the low blog traffic. It's summer and people are on vacation and going back to school..so I believe it's pretty natural. I've always loved this dress and it looks especially darling paired with your sweet apple necklace and pretty bag:) Have a good week!

    Hmmm no sure about the commenting thing. If I have something to say I'll usually comment! But there are about 5 bloggers I always comment on (and you're one of them!).

    From experience things tend to get really slow in the summer. I work in media so I follow tv trends and its similar...people prefer to be out doing things (or are doing is subconsciously)because the days are longer and aren't consuming as much media. Personally, I've been a rotten blogger since Memorial Day and have been reading blogs but not commenting because often people have already said what I thought and as I want to be out enjoying the summer, I figure, its no big deal if I don't.
    Also, totally loving your purse!
    Good luck starting school, I'll cross my fingers for you that you kick off the year well.

    I think it's just because people are getting back to school or moving to college... busy with things other than the internet, probably! I hope you have a great year back at school. Your classes sound great! Especially ceramics and mythology. I wish my high school had offered those classes!

    well i'm most of the time amazed if i get even 1 comment. then very very surprised and happy when i get 20. i don't think it's the content, people just may not have anything special to say or the post might have slipped their eyes :o who knows. i love your blog though and wish i would remember to come here & comment more often - since that's the thing that makes me happy with my own blog. :)

    I haven't been commmenting on blogs in general, as much as I usually do. I think it's just a summer thing.

    I keep forgetting you're only in high school... It's easy to assume you're a university student.

    Maybe the comment thing is because of school? That's why I've been kind of slow at commenting and posting! but your blog has a great quality and your writing is beautiful, so I doubt is that :P! good luck on your first day :)!

    I agree with everyone...your writing and photography are all beautiful, and you should definitely not change a thing about your blog! I've been experiencing the same thing though, and it is bothersome :/

    I find my blog is always lacking comments, but that's for an entirely different reason than your blog. lol
    For me, I'm a regular reader of a ton of blogs, but I'm more a casual commenter. If I can find some words to respond to the post (*ahem* like now) then I'll certainly leave a little something.
    I always find the stories of your adventures you had in your outfit post to be entertaining. I think some of my favorite blogs really tell a unique story in each post and asks questions that are relatable to people to get a conversation started. But I guess that's just their writing style and this is yours. Don't worry about the numbers - you'll just drive yourself crazy! :)

    You seriously get to take a class called Myth and Fantasy?! I don't know what that's about but it sounds awesome!
