Kitty Cat

dress: goodwill, wedges: forever 21
Hey loves! :3 How are you! With only two weeks of summer left and lots of summer homework left to do...I'm still doing well! I'm attempting to get through a chapter of AP biology homework everyday, and I should be starting my AP calculus homework today...sigh. Wish me luck getting it all done!

I wore this yesterday! I thrifted this dress awhile ago, but haven't worn it much because of it's length. I'm usually very hesitant to wear skirts/dresses that fall right below my knees. My legs aren't that long and I feel that it makes them look even shorter... However, with heels, I like this dress much better! So I wore it with my ever-painful Forever 21 wedges. ;) Should I invest in high-quality, comfortable wedges? Yes, probably.

As you can see below, I added a couple photos of my extremely lovely feline, Zoey. I couldn't help it! She is just so precious. I can't get enough of her. Unfortunately, lately she hasn't been able to sleep in my room like she normally does because I am watching a different cat for 2 weeks... We have to keep them separated, and it's fine in the day time because Zoey is busy makin' trouble outside... But at night time poor Zoey is mewing at my door and I can't let her in. :'( Oh the sorrows! Well... have a beautiful Wednesday, my dears! xxx

  1. Ah the curse of footwear... one of the few times where it usually does pay to spend more money on a quality pair. Which sucks because I'm too cheap to do so, but refuse to wear uncomfortable shoes. And so I wear very few shoes.

I had a cat who resembled your Zoey! Her name was Colours, hah. Your girl is so pretty. My cat Caramel does the same thing at night though, he wants to be in my room and sleeping with me.

  2. Love the dress, I know what you mean about that length being a little awkward, especially when you're not very tall (I'm not either!) but I think it looks lovely with the wedges, hope you can find some more comfortable ones! Your kitty is gorgeous too, such unusual colouring! Hope she gets back to sleeping on your bed soon :P xx

  4. This dress looks so exceptional on you! And best of luck on all of your summer homework... I know I was rushing this past weekend to finish my Advanced 12th grade English project! Whew, so glad that's over with!

And P.S. Your kitty cat is a doll ❤

  7. bummer about those wedges. They are so cute. Have you tried insoles? I had some painful target wedges where my feet slipped around nonstop. I bought cloth insoles from aldo and they are so much more comfortable now! Also check out Stiletto Hardware.
    Lovely dress!

  11. Your cat is awesome (to me all cats are awesome; cat lady alert).
And I think the dress looks really good on you. I get a bit hesitant when it comes to longer dresses/skirts too. I am not very tall, so I get what you mean.
But the heals seem to compliment the dress really well.
Oh and thank you for answering my question regarding the with of the text/images on the blog.

  18. Love that dress. It has a very simple yet elegant feel to it. I too steer away from long dresses, but if I happen to have one then time to bust out those heels!! haha And your cat is too adorable! Love how you captured his little yawn!

  20. I kind of hate Forever 21 for having cute shoes like those! They are so tempting and once you buy them they will totally kill your feet :(! But they are just soooooo freaking cute! Anyway, you look very vintage-y here, maybe it's the red lipstick, but I am really digging this look :)
