Fire Alarm

dress: forever 21, brogues & purse: goodwill, necklace: claire's
These photos are from Saturday when I spent the day with the boy! The mid/late afternoon and into the evening we walked around Fairfax, got coffee, and looked for some shade. As I told you guys, our hot season is nowish! It was in the 90s, but only for a short part of the day. By the time we were taking these photos it was nice and cool. :}

Seeing fall fashion all around the fashion world and the blogosphere is getting me pretty anxious to start wearing more layers and fall clothing though... I hope it hurries up. I need to make a huge tight investment for it, also. A lot of my tights became ripped and I finally threw them out. It took me long enough...So now I just need to splurge! Also, a nice pair of boots would be lovely as well...Hrrrmmm!!

Saturday night, Nat and I got a very delicious pizza (chicken, mozzarella, pesto, and bacon!) and cuddled up to watch Some Like It Hot. It was so good! So cheers to you Nat; you made a superb choice! I think we should start watching other old classics. Have any suggestions? Let me know! See you soooon! xx

  4. Cute dress, and the brogues and socks look great together! I love classic movies...a few of my absolute favorites that come to mind are Arsenic and Old Lace, A Place in the Sun, The Philadelphia Story, Rebecca and The Grapes of Wrath (the 1940 version with Henry Fonda).

  7. I don't know what type of movies you like, but I was watching Footloose yesterday and it was so funny! I didn't even remember it being that funny, or maybe I just got caught up with Kevin Bacon's face expressions and how all the plot is just funny/crazy :P love your outfit!

  8. I'm thinking you guys would like these older movies since they hold a special place in my heart:)
    To Kill A Mockingbird---excellent
    The Man Who Knew Too Much followed by Rear Window--Jimmy Stewart double feature
    The Ghost and Mrs. Muir--Really odd but good.

  9. Do you like Hitchcock? Rear Window is superb and a classic!!

    I continue to have hair envy whenever I see your photos! And that pizza sounds deliiiish! You and Nat make great partners-in-crime! :)

    As for tights, Target has some really fabulous $5 ones that come in so many colors (and are rolled up in a cute little way!) and they are super-duper soft! Give those a try! And check out Piperlime for great deals on boots! <33

  10. Lovely outfit!

    Oh I agree! I cannot wait to start wearing more layers! Well, technically I am, but I haven't really dressed up since it cooled down because I have a couple new dresses and new tights, so I really wanted to wait till me new ankle boots get here so I can one (or two) great big new outfit!

    But before I went shopping the past two weeks I was in exactly the same boat as you. I had about two nice pairs of tights, a couple pair that are decent (aka falling apart, but not too much to wear) and no nice boots. Ah! Those were two of the first things I got for autumn.

    If you're looking for nice tights I've heard We Love Colors is really good! That's where I just got my tights, and they seem really good, but I can't say for certain since I haven't taken them out of the packages yet. LOL! :D

  12. I am also on the hunt for some great boots. I've never had luck with leather boots and every year I think it's going to be the year, but I determined this time around!
