Peasantry

tunic: c/o oasap, cardigan & purse: goodwill, heels: thrifted, vintage, jeans: forever 21,
A surprise outfit post! Can you believe it. I didn't even plan on blogging tonight, let alone taking outfit shots. I plucked up the motivation and desire to get some good photos, and so my dad and I trekked out to the open space for a little over ten minutes and snapped away. He took a lot and I picked out these seven with some difficulty...! I'm glad I decided to jump back on the horse tonight though. I have missed taking photos and blogging. (I honestly haven't lifted up my camera in a week...)

This "dress" was given to me by Oasap, and while I think it's really cute from first glance - when I received it in the mail, I was shocked by how short it was. So, until I figure out how to style it at its short length, I decided to wear it as a tunic with jeans. I don't think it looks awkward, even though I usually think dresses with jeans do. What do you think? Have a nice night, lovebugs...! I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday. Sooo glad! xx

  3. Your hair is def getting longer - it's so shabby-chic! You're right about the dress though: how can something that short be worn alone?!

  4. You make it work! I usually dislike dresses with jeans too because it seems to be just a bit much.

  7. a good option if you don't like tunics with jeans would be to wear the dress with a slightly longer full or frilly skirt so the skirt pops out as an extra layer, that's what I do with short dresses :)

  8. How sweet of your dad to take your outfit photos for you! :)

Getting a dress online and receiving it in the mail to find that it's too short is one of my biggest pet peeves. I really like this dress/tunic with jeans though! It doesn't look awkward at all! I think it's when the dress or tunic is too poofy or has an a-line silhouette is what makes it look awkward. But this dress is has a really pretty flowy silhouette, so it works absolutely beautifully. I love it! :D

    Hope you're doing well!

  10. These photos are lovely! There's this pretty soft light outline that just makes them so ethereal. Your short dress tunic does not look awkward at all! Why, I'm quite envious that you can pull of jeans with such a "fluffy" tunic. I could never! :D

Your little earrings are adorable as well. :) Details!

  12. That dress looks great as a tunic. It's so hard to tell what the length of a dress will be when you get it online.
I really love the lighting in these pictures too. You look lovely!
