Knee Highs & Bubble Tea

dress: ruche, sweater: my mom's, boots & belt: thrifted, socks: forever 21, bag: marshall's
First of all, if you haven't yet, please go and ask me some questions on this post! I want to make my first vlog and I need some material! I'd really appreciate it. :) Ask me anything! In other news, do you like my socks? Haha I recently bought these and I've been pining for an opportunity to wear them and fortunately, the weather in San Francisco is always more on the chilly side. It feels like autumn over there! I haven't been one to wear knee highs in the past, but I'm trying to experiment with new layering ideas for Seattle, so I thought, why not? And I actually really enjoy them! I think with tights they will also be quite useful. Pacific northwest, I'm coming for you!

So this is what I wore yesterday for a trot to the city with a couple friends of mine. We had been planning out this visit with a few goals in mind: Japantown for bubble tea and, of course, HI-CHEW. You better believe that we were successful. Mmm. Such a delicious day; probably too much. We also went to Forever 21 in the Union Square area and I picked up a pullover sweater - see? I'm trying to get a better grasp of the whole layering thing! ;) Ahh and speaking of college... I'm just getting so impatient to get going already. I just feel like I'm in limbo and at this point, it's just making me anxious. Let me explain.

Basically, I feel like I'm playing the waiting game. Many of my friends have already moved away and are starting college, and I'm here like... "yay, summer?!" It's a good and bad things. Good, because I get more time to relax and prepare. Bad, because I just have this constant tug in me waiting for the big change. Yes, I'm scared - but I don't think I will feel better until I'm there and making the change. I'm just ready to get a move on already. I've bought my bedding, found some posters for my dorm room, bought an electric water heater... I just hate feeling like I'm waiting. Yet at this point, I feel like it's probably pretty unavoidable. The next 26 days will go by so quickly. I don't know, you guys. I'm just a bit anxious for everything. x

  1. I love this outfit, your socks are just lovely! I don't have any knee length socks but I'm so tempted to buy a pair after watching so many ladies - including you now - wearing them! You look fantastic! :)
Good luck with getting back to college, I still have some time left as well but I'm really not looking forward to it, it seems like my holidays just flew by haha

  2. haha, I find beautiful sweaters in my mom's closet too.
aw, I love under the knee socks, but I kinda finished my ways of wearing them. If you could maybe do some more outfits with them..?

  3. :) Don't worry, I hated waiting too. But college is pretty awesome now! Actual classes start next week, but it is already the most fun I have had in a while. You'll love it.

  4. haha you're going to get this layering thing down! and are you moving to seattle? i've been trying to decide between moving to san fran or seattle in march so i guess you can be my guinea pig ;) haha

  5. Gorgeous outfit! Looks like you're having a good time : ) Stop by my blog sometime, I miss you!

  6. I completely know what you mean about feeling like you're waiting in limbo. I'm about to make a big move and I can't wait to just GO already! I'm constantly getting pangs of nervousness and butterflies and it's rather annoying!

Also, I need to live in San Francisco at some point in my future. I spend a semester there and fell in love. When I hear of your outings in the city it makes me even more convinced that I'll come back someday.

  7. Gah I love that song!!
And that biscuit, Pocky, is a favorite of mine ever since I had it when I was a toddler :D

  8. Once the change of college comes, it will hit you hard, but I feel there is really no other way for it to hit you, haha. You'll do fine. You seem mentally prepared, at least, and honestly that's all you can do!

To answer your question, I LOVE your knee high socks. They're too cute. I haven't tried socks at that length before, but I really want to now. I like how they complement the orange of your dress, too!

  9. I like the socks! I'm hoping to find some good ones for layering for this fall/winter as well!

  11. You're a natural beauty! I know I dont comment often but when I blog downsized last year, I stopped reading the blog I didn't really LOVE. Yours is still a blog I come back to over and over and am inspired by your style time and time again. :)

  12. Beautiful outfit! The orange dress really complements your skin tone :) I just had bubble tea yesterday, so yummy :) :) :) P.s I love your blog

  13. I'm really loving your fall inspired outfit. I've been wanting to wear suede and scarves. I also just got three new cardigans from H&M. I love autumnal colors like your dress.
I bet you're excited to start on this new journey of life, but I guess for now just live in the moment and cherish those currently around you.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I appreciate each and every comment I receive. It means the world. xx
