NYC: El Buuuurro

Post number two from my New York trip! I think there will be only one more after this, so no worries if you are already bored. Which I'm sure none of you are! Nicole and I are so fascinating, right?! I suppose you can't truly know how fascinating someone is unless you actually spend time with them in person, so you'll have to take my word on the coolness factor of both Nicole and myself! ;) While staying with Nicole, I learned that she sings a lot in normal conversation which I did not expect, and her use of slang ("WORD") and just general mannerisms are a site to behold. In addition, one night at 3AM we spent a good half hour comparing west coast/east coast accents and ways of saying words, which turned out to be hilarious and amazing all at once.

These photos are from Saturday where we spent the day looking through shops and then that night we ate Shake Shack and went to a Bronx house party! Awww yeah! We felt painfully out of place though. It wasn't our type of shindig I guess. The party lacked bearded men and the Fleet Foxes spinning on a record player. Ah well. You can't have it all.

I think a majority of what Nicole and I ended up doing over the weekend was eating. And gosh... New York food is YUMMY. We ate a variety of dishes, but I gotta say, the bagels were absolutely delicious and the cheese pizza was hard to beat. I guess they don't lie about that kind of thing do they? Also we had these weird things called "ices" which is like ice and ice cream together as one. The texture is hard to explain but it was TASTY. And I want another one. Now. I'll leave you there with the thought of delicious NY food. K, byee! xx

  1. Hey... there's that cupcake that Nicole never got a picture of! ;) It does look delicious, and I can understand why it would be so hard to take a picture of first before diving into it and devouring it.

I won't get bored of these posts because you two are just too cute eek. <3

I also rly like how you both match, like you've both got these white dresses with all this stripe action going on and it's simply adorable... was it intentional? :D

  6. Omigosh, when I see my friends from the east coast, we talk so much about the difference between the way we speak! I've been living in CA for just a month and going to move there semi-permanently and there still have been arguments about hella vs wicked (just a boston thing I'm told), donut holes vs munchkins, ect...

Your descriptions of NYC food makes me jelly. Both of your dresses are fabulous.

  14. So fun! There are some places I would take a vacation to just to try the food, and NYC is one of them. I'd have to take a separate trip there just to do the normal things because I'd probably spend most of my time trying every food possible. I just love food okay.
