Stallion Red

dress & tote: from nicole, blouse: thrifted, vintage, boots: ross
I've been having a lot of feels lately, guys. A lot of emotions, in other words. I can't even explain myself other than I've been all other the place with excitement that involved  hysterical laughing, and moping to the extent of ranting to girlfriends for a lengthy amount of time. Baahhhhh. Countdown till Seattle: seven days including today. Packing has begun, but I still have much to do. As the days get closer, I'm getting more nervous but also, I've come to see, a lot more excited. I already have some plans in place and I'm not even in Seattle yet! I'm anxious but thrilled to be meeting the girls I've been talking with throughout the past few months. My roommate and I seem to have a lot in common so far...! Aghhh so many feels. So many feels.

In regards to blogging, I guess I have been keeping silent about my nervousness about what is going to happen when I get to college. When will I take outfit shots? Will I have time? How do I use the tripod and not be reaaaally awkward? What happens if I am caught up in all the activities of college and the blog just falls by the wasteside? These are all the worries I've been having. I'm a worrier, so it's kind of unavoidable. Maybe someone give me some peace of mind? xxoo

  2. Woah I've been gone from this blog for too long! You're moving to Seattle?! It'd be amazing to meet if you ever have time to spare for a crazy 16 year old girl XD You look lovely, as always <3

  3. Hey hey! Haha I am seriously so glad we are going to college at the same time. In regards to outfit photos, I actually have a lot of time to take photos. My day ends at 5 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and it's over before lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so there is a ton of time to take photos. And all of my friends are really supportive of my photo-taking endeavors. I have so many outfit posts lined up it's ridiculous. I've had people take pictures for me, or just come along while I take pictures, which is a lot less awkward than all by myself. Don't worry, you'll do great. :) And in a college as big as SPU, I'm sure there's at least one other blogger there.

  4. I remember feeling exactly the way you do before I left for college. I mean, your life is changing forever! Thankfully college allows the shift from living with your parents to being an "adult" to be fairly gradual. Good luck pushing through the emotions during the next week and making it there! And if your blog slows down for awhile...oh well. Life happens and it will pick up later if it's meant to be!

  6. I love the shirt-under-the-dress look of this!

I'm sure there will be adjustments and changes to how you blog now, but that you will find something that makes you satisfied with how you're doing things.

  7. I read "I'm a worrier" as "I'm a warrior", so I'm not going to give any advice because I'm choosing to believe you are a warrior.

  16. Aw I'm a worrier too. I feel your pain! I didn't have a blog when I was a freshman so I have no advice regarding that, but I do take pictures outside my apartment and am therefore in danger of various people walking by. If someone walks by I just do an awkward bow thing and wave them on. I'm sure the neighbors think I'm strange.
You're going to be fine in college though! You'll have a lot of fun!

  19. You'll be okay, Elanor. I agree with Amanda ^^
My freshman year wasn't so busy in comparison to the senior year I'm going through right now. Or least I was a bit more organized back then. And if you're not such a bad procrastinator like me, I think you'll figure out how to manage your time. Have a nice day.

  20. I'M IN LOVE WITH YOUR HAIR! I wear mine similarly but spike it, and am always upset I can't wear it sleek like you! Anyway, I love your dress as well and hope that you're having an okay transition into college! It's entirely normal to be really concerned about how your schedule and habits will change, but it's almost always for the better!
and bless you for actually saying "I have so many feels" in a blog post :P
