jumper: h&m, shirt: secondhand, vintage, boots & purse: marshall's
This outfit is a bit of a break from my autumnal colors and outfits that I've been playing with lately. Sometimes a girl just needs to pull out the black and white! I picked up this jumper on sale at H&M over the summer and sneakily decided to save it until the fall months when I was in Seattle. It's a fun surprise to have something that you haven't worn yet, and in many cases, have forgotten about! This is a cool dress though. I think I will be getting a lot of use out of it in the coming months. ;)
I really can't believe how quickly this quarter is flying by! I've only been at SPU a little over a month, and we only have about a month and half before winter break. They weren't lying when they said the quarter system really makes school fly by. I think it's important to remember to enjoy each day and make the most of the time you've got, even when life and time goes by so quickly. I love the people I've been spending my time with over here, and I feel so blessed to have opportunities to be independent and free, which in many ways I feel like I've never truly had.
I hope your week is going well so far! I've been pondering the ways to get my blog up and moving and more active again, and I think the first step will be implementing my Mixtape Monday series into the mix again. We'll see what else I come up with. I want my blog to be as free as Maggie makes her's, like she discusses in this post. I love how she feels so relaxed with posting and posting what she wants! It something I still am striving to accomplish over here. :) Anyway, I'll see you soon! xxoo

Thanks for reminding me about the time thing. Sometimes as I get older, I forget to enjoy things.

That jumper is so cute! Yay for rediscovering things! Awe, well when time flies, that just means you're staying super busy and having a (hopefully) decent time. ;) It sounds like things are going pretty well for you, and I hope they continue to stay that way. <3
ReplyDeleteI never would have thought that overalls (even overalls dress) could be cute, but clearly I was wrong. Not only is this cute but you look smart and indy too!
ReplyDeletei love that black velvet jumper!!

The last picture is completely badass! I love the black boots against the fallen leaves. I bet they are perfect for kicking up leaves as you walk around :).That jumper is such an interesting mix of youthful and an almost bustier top...great contrast. And as for enjoying every day, that's a great philosophy. It's so easy to feel overwhelmed in college, but you seem to be keeping your head on straight. Can't wait to see more personal posts!

I am always so impressed at how pretty your photos are. Black and white is awesome, and works in every season! Trust me, college flies by, I wish I'd had your "making the most of every day" mentality!

ReplyDeleteElanor! I am so happy to see that you're so happy and loving your new college girl life up in Seattle! When college started for me, I went missing from blogland. It's taken me awhile to adjust to the college life, but I've been recently catching up on all the goodies I missed from my favorite blogs... including yours! Your loveliness is still just as lovely as always... nothing new there! :)

ReplyDeleteAnd yey for Mixtape Monday! I love when you post it :D
never goes out of style and you really burst it to life with the turquoise necklace. love your posts, always so inspiring :)
ReplyDeleteAwww! A shout out? I'm dying (and drooling over my MacBook...). Honestly, transitioning into a "free-er" blog is so difficult and kind of awkward (especially when your readers know you for one thing..) but you have to have confidence that your readers are around for more than just pretty pictures ;) I know I would LOVE to hear more of what you have to say and see more of your day to day life. And I can't be the only one! Taking it slow, posting "what i'm up to" and "what my day looks like" posts at first and then transitioning into bigger ones seemed to be the way I did it and it worked! I seriously get three times the blog traffic now (on both my outfits and other misc posts) and I swear it's only because I'm posting more often and the happiness I put into it shows. WE CAN DISCUSS FURTHER WHEN WE MEET :)
