Camp Casey

As you may know, I went on retreat this weekend with my dorm and one of the other smaller dorm on campus. We drove up to Whidbey Island where Fort Casey/Camp Casey is located. It's half a national park and half a camp owned by SPU. :) It is right on Puget Sound and it was just so beautiful! We wandered down the beach, explored the old cannons and forts along the water, took photos while we walked and just spent time talking with others.

While driving up to the camp,  the mist was settling in and there were occasional drizzles upon our windshield. Being in nature and among the trees was a lovely reminder of how beautiful everything is and how thankful I am to be up here! I want to spend more time in the outside world and really experience all that the pacific northwest has to offer. Going on this retreat was the perfect introduction to that! I hope you enjoy these glimpses of my weekend... I have an outfit post coming up soon! xoxo

  8. Ah this looks so wonderful! I've never been to this area of the country. The only time I've seen the Pacific ocean was the few hours I was in San Francisco a couple years back. Maybe someday...
