Daylight Withdrawing

denim jumper: wasteland, sweater: forever 21, sandals & button up: thrifted
Hi lovelies! Eeps I wanted today to be a Mixtape Monday day, but somehow I didn't get all my ducks in a row, so the playlist didn't come together in time. These photos are actually from weeks ago when my friend Mallory helped me one night after my 3-5 pm class. The problem with it being at that time is that that is prime time for taking photos. So as you can see, the lighting isn't my best, but I still enjoyed this outfit too much to let it go to waste. It's not often anymore that I get to wear non-boots (because of the rain factor), so I was grateful when I had the opportunity to wear them this day.

I've reached my final week of classes this quarter, and next week are finals - and the week that I fly home! I can't believe how quickly everything has gone by, though I have said that far too often, haven't I? At this point I am looking forward to being back and spending the Christmas season with my family. I talked to my mom on the phone tonight and we talked about baking cookies, and getting a Christmas tree, and going to choral concerts - and it just made my heart glad! It will be good to be back in the bay and back with old friends and back with my family.

Of course, on the flip side, I'm going to miss my family here in Seattle like crazy, I already know it. Fortunately, Mallory lives in Nor Cal too so we will get to see each other. And who knows, maybe we will tool it on down to central California to visit Kristie. What will I do without my beloved roommate for a whole month? ;) Anyway! Enjoy your late late Monday, or Tuesday depending on when you read this! xxoo

  2. Layering those necklaces is an awesome touch! I've recently gotten into wearing sweaters over collared shirts too - they're such fun outfits! :)

  3. You are so adorable I love this! The sweater is a gorgeous color and looks great layered over the denim jumper. I love the collared blouse peeking out from underneath the sweater too. I've reached my last full week of classes for the semester too, but there's just so much to do before I can go home for winter break! I hope you get through your finals and everything in one piece!

  5. Gooooood luck!
My college has the terrible idea of having the exams in early January, which means I can't really enjoy the Christmas period because I have to study...
You have no idea how sad this makes me :(

  9. You know what's crazy? I have those EXACT same sandals in brown, and I got them from the Goodwill in my town. Really, I just pulled them out to compare!
What are the chances of that!

  13. Cute!!! I am loving that skirt! And I love that you were listening to Miles Davis. My boyfriend surprised me the other day with listening to jazz while we made Christmas gifts, and it was just the perfect kind of music to listen to while spending the Saturday together. Love me some Miles Davis
