You Open My Mind

dress: urban outfitters, sweater: my mom's, socks: forever 21, shoes: thrifted, watch: 1:Face
Yay! I can post again! The parts to my laptop came in the mail today and my brother fixed the issue and now it's all good. Well, for now. It seems I will probably have to get a new computer within the next year just because it isn't going to last too much longer. But I'm not going to think about that right now. I can't even explain it, but it feels so much nicer to have my own computer back. I have all my music, all my movies, my bookmarks, my saved log-in information, Photoshop, all my documents/photos... it's just nice to be able to comfortably sit here and blog again.

These photos and this outfit is from the day after I returned home to Northern California. :) While I had the most difficult time trying to figure out what to bring back from Seattle, it seems I had forgotten that I also left clothes at home! Such as this dress and these shoes. Silly me. Getting dressed each day isn't as difficult as I had anticipated, although it is true that a lot of the dresses still here in Nor Cal are more summery and sleeveless. Layering for the win! Actually, it hasn't been too cold. Seattle has perhaps made me better prepared for chilly weather? It's been in the 60s since I've arrived, which is now warm for me! I can dig it.

Anyway, thank you all for your friendship. I mentioned this on Twitter earlier today, but I am going to begin to reevaluate which blogs I follow and start being a more dedicated follower - beginning with actually starting to comment again. I really miss creating new friendships through blogging! Am I the only one who has just stopped commenting? Or is it something bigger than me? What do you think/know? xxoo

  2. Haha no I'm really bad at commenting too. I think for me it's because I'm afraid people will think it's just because I want them to look at my blog, which I guess is partially true, but I do really love the relationships through blogging that we get to create. :)

  7. Your layered outfit is superb! I have a sweater I wear on regular basis very similar to yours and I love pairing it with floral items, too!

Glad you got your computer back. I know even when my internet is out just for a day, I go crazy. haha

No, you're not the only one! I've been reevaluating my blog reading as well. I find that I only skim through my Bloglovin' once or twice a month. I knew it must mean there's a lot of unwanted blogs in there, so I cleaned it up! Now I'm looking to add fresh faces to my reader. So far, so good!

  9. Glad your laptop is back! I'm the worst at commenting, but your blog is one of my favorites. <3

You're not the only one who's stopped commenting - I'm horribly guilty of that myself! I'm trying to get better though. I miss making new friends too. ;)

  13. Elanor! You're such a babe and I'm so glad you're back :D

Truthfully you are not the only one as of late who has completely forgone commenting...it makes me so sad that I don't comment anymore (it's so hard to find the time!), but like you I really want to get back into the swing of it. Welp, that's what the month long break when you're in college is for I suppose! x

  14. You look lovely, Elanor! And I can completely relate to the lack of commenting as of late. Maybe it is the hustle and bustle of the season, or maybe it is just a temporary rut. I'm not sure, but your words encouraged me to do a little meaningful connecting and commenting on my favorite blogs tonight!. -Amber

  17. Aw, I love that dress print - why does Urban always seem to have the lock on every print in the world!? And I feel you about the commenting. Sometimes I'll read posts and think about some great comment but just be in too much of a hurry to type it out. And of course, you can never remember which blog/post/thing to say when you actually have time later. The curse of blogging, I guess!

  18. Such stunning photographs as usual Elanor! I know what you mean about networking and lacking in it. I find I always check my favourite blogs if I find the time, I just don't leave a comment. But I think it's important to so that they know I am a dedicated reader! Missing Lovebirds is a place I honestly don't comment on enough ;) It's great to see your pretty face again

  19. What a darling outfit! I love the knee socks :)

I've been slacking off at commenting lately as well...it's more because I'm busy than anything else. This time of year is crazy, but I love it!
