Pins & Needles

Somehow this morning my internal body clock woke me up at 9:45 AM and insisted that that was enough sleep, get up! So I did. Generally on the days I don't have classes in the morning I end up sleeping in more, but I wouldn't mind changing that. After all, getting up at nine shouldn't be that bad. I never want to go back to the days of my high school career where I had to get up at six, and be at school by seven. Ughh. At least, I'm going to avoid that schedule for as long as I possibly can hahah.

Here at SPU we are already in our fifth week of the quarter. Guys, that means I'm already half-ways finished with winter quarter. We have to start registering for classes soon, as well. Yesterday I took the math placement test finally so once I get the results I will be able to take a math course. Not that I'm excited about that. At all. But hey, gotta get er done! I'm not really anywhere closer to discovering what path I should take for my major. I still have no passions that are pushing me a certain direction. So that's stressful too but I'm trying to let go of my worries and trust God more lately. And it's almost February! Which means a fresh month of new goals and new adventures. xxoo E

  2. you are BEAUTIFUL in these pictures! i saw this on FB and just about died. not that you aren't always beautiful, because you are, but i just love this outfit. i JUST started my first week of classes this week! yikes!! i find that waking up between 8 and 9 is *perfect* for me. enough that i usually get a full nights rest but get a full day in, too! being 2.5 years removed of high school, early mornings aren't QUITE as bad (phantom memories for that 6am alarm, yuck) and i enjoy them more. <3

  5. that cardigan looks so comfy! I hear you about registration and so forth - I'm a sophomore in college and I'm having serious issues about where I want to go with my future. I was SO CERTAIN about what I wanted to do coming into freshman year, and now that I've taken almost two years of courses...well...I'm not really feelin' it. Don't know what that means, guess I'll have to find out :]

  6. You are SO awesome Elanor!!! I totally agree about the stress of school and registering for classes. To be honest, haven't even thought about what classes I want to take...whoops! But february, my favorite month is coming up! So excited, hopefully we can hang out. And don't be afraid to just live a little and not ALWAYS be doing homework. At the end of the day your health and happiness is number one.

  7. I'm glad to hear classes are whizzing by! I thought that 9:45 was sleeping in hahaha definitely enjoy these times. It's been at least a year since I've slept past 9am!
And, I'm sure you'll figure out your major eventually. I think trusting God is the best plan for now ;)

  9. You are so cute! I absolutely love the lace top paired with your comfy cardigan. As for sleeping in - that's pretty much my #1 love. If I don't have class in the morning I easily sleep until 10 or 11. Or later. It's pretty bad. 9:45 sounds like a great time to naturally wake up!

  11. What a darling outfit! Don't stress too much if you don't know what you want to do yet; I studied something that I loved, but I had no idea what I wanted to actually do with it. Now I've got a dream job! It's not always easy, and there's often some uncertainty, but it'll all work out in the end :)

  12. This is lovely, like a sophisticated Dorothy of Kansas look a bit.

Don't stress too much about not knowing what you want to do. A lot of people change majors a lot, so exploring till you find what you really like does not mean you will end up "behind" (though it is your life; you cannot behind. Every life is different). I'm sure you've heard it before, but perhaps there is something with fashion or blogging that can inspire an idea to look into or research.
