Seeker of Happiness

dress: target, sweater: a gift, hat & shoes: vintage, thrifted, tote: etsy
Lately I've been enjoying bonding with Rachael and finding new places on campus to investigate and take photos. At first glance, winter in Seattle may seem to be a landscape of gray -- but it is actually still so green and lovely. It's been bitterly cold and we have had no rain (weird, right?) but the green of the moss and pines are as beautiful as ever.

I wanted to start this post off on a positive note, because I also wanted to admit to you that I haven't been in the most exceptionally happy mood lately. After talking to my mom for a good while on the phone and opening myself up to Kristie, I certainly felt better. It could be a mixture of the cold weather as a downer, or the frantic feelings that the quarter system sometimes installs in me, or what have you. I'm looking for some peace of mind, though if I continue to have sad feelings, hopefully I'll feel comfortable enough to explain and share my feelings with you. I strive to be honest, but I think that's something I still need work on.

Anyway, I finally decided to pull out this hat and give it a whirl yesterday. I think it made this outfit so much more interesting! Also it temporarily covered up my mess of hair. PLEASE GROW FASTER, HAIR. LOVE, ELANOR. xxoo

  2. I do love the moss in your photos, and applaud you for being able to find green in the middle of winter! Lucky you! I can find it with pine trees down here, but I have yet to find any moss... hmm! :) You've inspired me to search.

That dress is so very cute. I love all the fun splotches of colors on it. I also adore that necklace with the arrow heads!

  4. Moss is my favorite photo back drop! That vintage hat is such a great find, I could tell it was vintage before scrolling down to see because of the hat pin, how awesome. I hope your tote bag inspires your mood to turn around! I still love it!

i know i always start to feel sad around this time of the year. it's just cold and dark. this is the time were i try to fuel all that negative energy into something creative, which usually gets me into a pretty positive mood. even if it's just for a little while. just know you aren't alone.
