At My Desk

1 / Breakfast of Champions. Perhaps not quite. BUT this coffee cake along with two bags full of pastries came from this local cafe for free. My friends Kristie and Mallory were there studying and the barista came over and asked if they wanted free pastries, and right then and there he bagged up at least fifteen goodies. It was a wonderful event.

2 / For Valentine's Day, my dad wanted to surprise me by sending me flowers. Unfortunately the flower company messed up and the bouquet didn't get to me on time. However, I'm not picky about receiving flowers! They came the Wednesday after Valentine's Day and I was just as happy. Aren't they beautiful? My dad sure knows how to do it.

3 / I already posted a photo of this new succulent a bit ago, but here's another shot for good measure. I'm a big fan of plants, have I told you that? This little darling was three dollars from Trader Joe's so of course I hopped on that deal.

4 / I finally changed my dry-erase board and put up this new quote from Lemony Snicket, "If we wait until we're ready, we'll be waiting for the rest of our lives.” Such an accurate quote that I truly need to keep in mind. You can't keep putting things off until you believe yourself to be "better" or "ready"!

P.S. Check out my little feature on Fashion Treatment! They did a little blogger round-up and asked me to be a part of it.
(While I didn't intend for this round of Instagram photos to all be centered around my desk... surprise! They are! Let's hope that doesn't imply that I never leave my desk. Oops. I hope you have a lovely day! xxoo)

  4. Oh gosh, I've always wanted a tiny succulent! Can you keep them inside? They're just the cutest of plants (I'm always seeing you reblog them on tumblr, and I do, as well, hehe).
