State of the Art

top: thrifted, vintage, skirt & belt: goodwill, wedges: forever 21, purse: vintage, flea market, jacket: t.j. maxx
My spring break is off to a good start! Monday I slept in and had a relaxing morning before driving to the Civic Center where I had to talk to people about a ticket I recently got... Yes... Me... getting a ticket... My first one, mind you! But luckily, I reduced the cost of the fine in half and now I probably just need to pay that and take an online driving course so it doesn't go on my record. Blehhh. But it was good news! (The fine was originally almost $500......)

And, obviously, this is what I wore! Today my plans are to go hang out with a bunch of friends for my pal Jessica's 18th birthday celebration. I believe there will be music, junk food and laughs. So I'm excited. Hopefully I find time in the next week to do all the homework I was assigned...Hmm... let's not think about that yet! ;) xx

  1. This is so cute! Your outfit has so many lovely elem ents to it-- I love those wedges and the texture of your bag, even the little red tassel hanging from it. The buttons on the back of your jacket are so cute, too. Details..!

Oh no about the ticket! But that's good that you got the fine cut in half and that it won't stay on your record. There's always a silver lining somewhere. :D

  13. This outfit is perfect for spring, and I'm loving how your skirt matches the flowers around you! Boo to having to deal with a ticket (now you're just a common, smarter, driver!), but hooray for days with friends! And especially sleeping in! Don't worry, you shouldn't bother with work until Thursday or so anyway :) You work hard and you should enjoy your time off!

By the way, I love the rabbit's foot on your bag! <33

  15. You are looking very fierce in these photos. Yes, fierce. :) Especially that last one... you're working it. Teehee. Well, eek... that ticket ordeal does not sound fun, at least you're on spring break... that makes up for it, right? Enjoy your time off!

  16. Oh my gosh this is probably my favorite outfit of yours to date. Enter my closet now!

And tickets are no fun! I haven't gotten one yet but I'm pretty petrified of cops, which is no good because I inadvertently speed all the time. Whoopsies!

Hope you have an awesome spring break!

  19. So absolutely beautiful Elanor....both the springy surroundings and your outfit! I love the floral and the lace together so much. $500 is one steep ticket! That's good that at least they cut that half for you, but sheesh that's still a lot...couldn't they see it was your first offense? I've only ever gotten one as well...for accidentally speeding in a school zone...apparently it was originally going to be $900 (so said the cop) but he let me off with $120 instead. Phew. I definitely learned my lesson that day:) Happy (almost) weekend darling! xx Marisa
