Ballard Adventures

dress & boots: thrifted, button up: j. crew, jacket: gap, bag: ross
In my attempt to bring my camera with me more often and take photos of my outings with friends, I bring you this post! I traveled by bus on over to Ballard with my friends Kristie, Mallory, Rachael, and Kenneth this past Saturday to wander and study for the afternoon. I've been to Ballard once before when my mom came and visited, but seeing it in the daylight with friends was a different experience! I probably say this about every little district of Seattle, but I can see myself having an apartment in Ballard because it is just so perfect. There are shops upon shops and families all around the area with their dogs. It's like Fremont but bigger and less weird (I love Fremont, but it can be weird!) I can't wait to go back.

We ended up studying in a local coffee shop called Caffe Fiore which was lovely and warm. I ordered the drip coffee which was exactly what I was needed to sip on while starting my newest book, The Life of Pi. The first three pages of the novel discuss characteristics of the three-toed sloth, which, in other words, means that it's some good quality literature that I'm down to read.

Needless to say, I'm glad to be back in Seattle with my friends and my dorm room and my campus and my city. xxoo

And let me know what you think of Life Of Pi. I saw the movie and enjoyed it.
But I don't know anyone who's read the book yet - so shoot me a little "yay or nay" comment when you finish ;)

  8. You...live in Seattle?! Ahhh this is so funny, I live in between Fremont and Ballard! I call it Frellard haha. This is amazing, and I will stop complaining that all anyone wears here is North Face (because it's really not true).

And yesss Fiore is wonderful. Their chai is deliciously spicy. My friend works there actually...okay okay I just love that you live here(:

  11. My thrifted lace up leather boots finally bit the dust and now I'm desperately seeking a new pair. YOURS ARE PERFECT. Also this looks like so much fun. And I can attest that Life of Pi is AMAZING you just have to get through some of the slow (but still interesting!) parts in the middle.
