Ophelia & Claudia

skirt: c/o sugarlips, shirt: costco, jean jacket: found it, boots: vintage, thrifted
In trying to think up something to say for this blog post, I am a bit scattered. All I can really come up with is to tell you that this was an excellent Wednesday. It was one of those days where unexpectedly, I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my dad. It was one of those days where I spent a long while in the school cafeteria, nibbling on granola, sipping coffee, and just people watching. It was one of those days where the walk to Fremont was both brisk and crisp. It was one of those days where getting drip coffee and studying the Bible is the only thing to do.

On this particular trip to Fremont, Rachael and I explored this book store that I had never been to, called Ophelia's Books. You'll never believe who was inside (okay, maybe you will). A lovely little book store cat! My heart fluttered when I saw Claudia (that was the cat's name) and I know that this beautiful used book store will definitely be a place to visit time and time again. It's a secret dream of mine to own a coffee shop/cafe/used bookstore/live music venue/plant shop somewhere and to have a permanent shop cat. :) Wouldn't that be the best? Do you have any secret dreams like this? xoxo E

  2. That's MY dream too!!! I'm surprised you never went in Ophelia's before - isn't that the place on the right-hand side of the street when you cross over the bridge?? Anyway - looks like a great spot.... isn't Claudia a tortie??? So adorable. Glad you enjoyed the flowers - you look adorable in this post - love the setting! xoxo

  3. Loving your hair! I would love to have a vintage shop, maybe one day when I win the lottery?

I am having a fabulous giveaway right here.

  4. I have a similar story. In my college we have this cat that jumps into everyone's lap and almost demands us to pet him.
It's really funny and different, at the same time.

  5. You and a denim jacket are a perfect match :)

    xo Ashley

  6. This is so lovely!
I definitely think there is something magical about quaint shops - it's like stepping into another world (and cuddly cats are an added bonus!)
I'm glad to hear you had such a wonderful Wednesday :)

  7. Oh I LOVE that little Fremont bookshop! Bought a copy of Gatsby there<3

  8. Jeez, you always find the coolest places and wear the coolest things and you're just really cool, k? k.

  9. What a lovely sounding day. And mid-week too!

  10. i totally have that dream! one day I want to own a coffee shop/ little used book store with a stage in the back corner for weekend concerts. Local bands only of course. Maybe a separate room for a concert venue (we have a lot of these were I live). It is basically my biggest dream!

  11. Oh my, that dream is seriously the same thing for me! Well, maybe not the plant shop and cat bit, but I've always wanted to own a cafe/bookstore/music venue. It just seems so quaint. Lovely outfit, I especially like that skirt. Also, you layered very skillfully!

  12. I think this is one of my favourite outfits of yours. mixing causal stuff with skirts is my favourite, and I really think there's serious lack of hoods in the blogosphere. love how you mixed in the hoodie! I also really really love the deep earth tones- they look beautiful together, and really good on you!

  13. Sooo cute! Everything from the skirt to the jean jacket is amazing.

    Love it!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I appreciate each and every comment I receive. It means the world. xx
