This summer has been a joy in so many ways that I often over-look when I get caught up in the moody, negative shit that I've had to deal with... and I regret that. And it's more common than not: focusing on the bad is so much easier to do. We discuss our problems as opposed to our joys. I'd like to change that. The past few days have been lovely, so we will start there. One particularly great thing about this summer is that my friend Miranda is house sitting in San Francisco so I've gotten to spend a lot of time staying in the city with her these past few weeks. It's convenient too because I can drive to work and do all the things I have to, but still be with her in the city. So we spent Sunday-Tuesday together this time around.
Sunday was brilliant because we attended the Renegade Craft Fair at Fort Mason. San Franciscans may be familiar with this, but if you aren't -- it's a great big fair full of vendors selling handmade goods. Lots of them have online shops as well. We saw so many amazing things and a lot of cool people.
One guy that we met in particular was especially interesting! Below you'll see a photo of someone sewing -- his name is Paul Nosa and to put it simply, he draws with a sewing machine (among a bunch of other things)! I don't know about you, but I haven't heard of that before. Such a unique idea! Miranda and I talked with him for a long while and got to hear his story. In addition to meeting him on Sunday, we grabbed lunch with him on Tuesday. Definitely a fun few days. :) If you're reading this, Paul... hi! Go check out all that Paul does HERE and also... it's August tomorrow! Eeeps. Love you all. xx

You are so FAB. I'm bummed I missed this year's Brooklyn Renegade.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for letting me know about my “missing blogger” Eleanor!! And I was more than happy to feature you, glad to have seen your blog after far too long. I love this look as well, the fall hues are really lovely on you. I too get caught up in mooping over the negative and talking about them far more than the positives, so than you for the reminder to me as well! It sounds like you’re having really wonderful summer opportunities though, getting to stay w/ your friend in SF sounds amazing (as does just being able to walk around and enjoy things, which is out of the question in Phoenix sumemrtimes). The local market looks awesome and how cool you got to connect w/ such a unique artist!
