Just let me sing you to sleep.

I'm back! Got home yesterday at 10 pm. Eeek! My trip was lovely, but there were too many photos to put here, however, I put my favorites of Derek and me. :) My favorite is, of course, the first photo of us kissing. We never get good photos of both of us, so I was super excited when this one turned out perfect...♥

Sorry if this whole blog post is gushy and romantic and cheesy and silly, but it's how I've been feeling! Heheh, that could be what spending 8 days with a person can do. We had a few little bickering moments throughout the trip, but overall, it was amazing that we could spend so much time together without wanting to kill one another! That's always good, I've got to say. Hehe.

I shall not say every little thing we did, but an overall description is this: we camped with Derek's mom's side of the family up in Mount Rainier, which is in Washington. I hadn't been camping in a number of years, so I was rusty! But it was fun!

These couple silly photos below are of a day where we had run around all morning hiking, and looking around, and cooking over the fire... And this is us around 5ish! We were lightly napping in the tent that I slept in with Derek's sister and cousin. Well, napping as in taking photos of us looking sleepy and funny! Derek looks just about ready to pass out. Hahaha...

On the drive home, we stopped in Winston, Oregon to drive through a 600-acre safari! Twas exciting! Hehe. The most interesting were the ostriches and these cute, furry bears! They seemed to be the most active. This guy swam around with a bucket for a bit before lumbering around to see his other bear friend! Good times. :)

I'm about ready to pass out myself now, so I'll wrap this up. School starts the 23rd, and I'm going into Junior year...! Sheesh, I'm nervous yet excited! I'm going to need to figure out how I'm going to be doing outfit shots during the week, so bear with me as I learn the ropes of blogging and schooling at the same time. Heh.

The Suburbs

Yesterday, my friend Jessica and I had a photo shoot! As I said in my last entry, we did one before, and it turned out well, so we wanted to try again! We walked around a park in our town and yet again, rediscovered the jumping affect! We laughed so much during these shots. :)Oh! And we also saw these cute little deer family! A momma and her two babies. They are kinda hard to see here, cause they blend in so well! They were eating when we first saw them, and as we continued to take photos, they sat down. Heheh... so cute.

As a reminder, I'm MIA till the 18th, so my next post will hopefully be sometime after that. Although, school starts the 23rd. Uh ohhhh.

Petaluma & my boy!

Yesterday, Derek and I went into Petaluma, a town about 10 miles away from where we live. I hadn't actually been there in a while, so I'd forgotten how close it was! Honestly, it's a much more exciting town than where we live, so it was great to get out. :) I had a lot of fun! We went to In-n-Out then looked around town and took photos! Derek has embraced his inner photographer and I like it! He took all of my shots! Unfortunately, most of the stores were closed because it was a Sunday. But, we plan on going back again - I can't wait! We got home later that night and watched Titan A.E and ate Laffy Taffy. It was awesome! Heheh.

I dressed super simple, but I was fine with that. I wore my new vintage purse from GoodWill, as you can see! Isn't it darling? It has that old, used, antique-y smell to it too! I thought it pulled together my look quite nicely. :)

(derek is a very pale person. he is like a ghost! gasp!)

Wrapping this up because I don't have much more to say...! My friend Jessica and I are going to try to run around and do a shoot together today. We did one before and it turned out pretty good, so, hoping for equally good luck today! I'll post on that probably tomorrow.

Oh, and one last thing. I'm going camping with Derek's family up in Washington for a week, starting Wednesday when him and I take a train to Portland before meeting up with his grandma who will drive us the rest of the way. So I'm not sure when I'll be updating next, after tomorrow's entry. We'll see!

I hope you guys like the changes to my layout! I stayed up later than I meant to working on it... And I don't believe I'm finished yet, either. There are still more adjustments I want to make. But the credit to my header photo goes to my lovely mother - who took that beach shot in Santa Barbara. :)

Anyway, I'm wearing my "new" GoodWill clothes today! I got these both when I went there the past two days. The dress looking things is actually a romper! Funny, because I didn't even know it until I tried it on. I really like it! It feels vintage-esque and it's great for summer-time fun. Oh! And of course these shoes. I called them keds in my last post, but that is just what I call these kinds of shoes... These are actually Ralph Lauren Polo sneakers. My mom told me that she had a pair super similar back in the 80s! Hahaha. :)

I found a little shaded cove down by the marsh area near my house to take these photos. Never before had I been here so it was nice to have a new location. I haven't been doing much where I actually could document my time with photos - so this is all I've got. I'm hoping to change that somewhat soon though. Hmmmm.

I did AP summer homework today, and that was about it. Lots-o-fun. Ah, and I walked my neighbors dog/fed it/watered plants. Woohoo! Makin' money! ;) Tomorrow I'm getting up early to sing in church, as well. I'm not sure if I'll post tomorrow, or if my next date is Monday. I suppose we'll see!

Oh! I almost forgot! I actually ended up getting a lot of stuff from GoodWill yesterday, soo, I may make a post tomorrow showing off some of that stuff if I don't do an outfit post.

My Clever Mind.

Hello hello. Two posts in two days. :) I'm proud of myself! Also, it seems I've come to love blogging. Haha. Funny how that works, eh? Today oddly seemed like a long day! Though I really did not do much! My lovely mother managed to get some shots of me today while we were out and about.

So, today, I went to clay class (wheee! clay class! :3) with Derek-faice (hehe) from 1 to 3. After that I ran some errands with my mom - have you noticed a pattern? I run errands with my mom when I'm bored! - and we went to GoodWill for a tiny bit! We are going to go again tomorrow early in the morning because we had to hide a bunch of dresses that we found. Why did we hide them? Oh yeah, 'cause they closed their dressings rooms! Argh! Oh well. :) Oh! But, I did get two pairs of shoes and a purse. Hehe. The purse is very vintage and lovely! The shoes are white Keds, and thick, blue, short heels.

After that, I went to a Chinese restaurant with my parents! I had an enjoyable time and the food was quite yummy! :) "Your clever mind will lead you to many rewards" was the fortune inside my fortune cookie! My clever mind, eh? ;)

It came out a while ago, and even though there are new movies coming out tomorrow, I do really want to see this one. Everyone has said it's really strange but good - have any of you seen it?! Let me know!
