Happy Halloween!

Hope you all had a great Halloween weekend! I was a gypsy! I didn't have an opportunity to get any better photos, so this one is from school on Friday - taken by my friend Jessica. I wanted to post old Halloween photos of me, but, alas, I couldn't scan them - aghh! Next year, I suppose...! :)

Did you all have a nice Halloween? Watch any scary movies? Eat lots of candy?

Holding on to this feeling.

So, it's Friday night! This post was supposed to go out on Thursday, but things got so busy that I had no time! These photos are from last Wednesday, even! This shoot felt a little uncertain for me. I tried to spice it up, as you can see, and went to the marsh near my home. However, unlike in Sun Shine where - as the name suggests - there was sunshine... instead, it was gloomy and... rainy. This is my first shoot that I got rained on! Whoo! But I kept going because I was determined. :-) The rain was light and it wasn't until Thursday night to Friday did the rain pour.

I really love this dress. My mom found it at the Goodwill on the Haight in SF last year and it is, in fact, vintage. It is very sheer so I have to wear a slip (and it's not too warm) but the print is just so lovely. There are faint, small white polka dots on the dress as well, so I thought my polka dot tights were quite appropriate for this look!
Happy Halloween weekend everyone! Soon I'll post about the Big Band Dance that is tonight. I managed to get a few pictures in the usual location of my deck...ick... Oh well!

Thank goodness it's Friday!

A little package.

Little packages are the best. I received my With Care Locket from Lululetty's giveaway on Saturday. I decided to make a post about it, because admit it - getting packages and letters is the best feeling ever. I just wanted to share...♥

Shorter and Colder Days.

Good evening! The days are getting shorter, and colder and colder - I can't believe it's already the end of October! I'm sad because I feel like I've missed a lot of fun beginning of fall activities. I've read a bunch of blogs where you guys are going on hay rides, drinking cider, and carving pumpkins! Gosh, where have I been? I wonder I can get anything in this week before it's November...

This Friday is the Big Band Dance at my school! It's where the jazz bands play, and it's kind of an old fashioned swing-style dance. I never go to the regular dances, but I always go to the Big Band Dance! It's a lot of fun! Derek, me, and all my friends are going. It'll be great! And I have the perfect dress to wear... ;)
On to my outfit... a romper in October! Why yes! My favorite little piece; it was a great thrift find. Pairing it with my news gray tights I thought it achieved a colder weather outfit feel... :) I still need to get thicker tights before we get deeper into the fall and then winter! It doesn't snow here, but I'm always pretty cold anyway...

As you can see, I'm still trying to get new locations for my photos. Thanks for holding on for this ride, lovelies. ♥ It's supposed to rain this weekend again, but I'm going to try to get more outfit posts in!

Have a great night!

1000 Cameras.

I know what you're thinking! Where have you been? Haha, or maybe not - you probably didn't even notice I haven't posted since last Thursday! ;) I had a busy weekend, and absolutely no time to update! Also, Saturday and Sunday were rainy rainy rainy! But anyway, about this post. Friday, my friend Jessica, her mom, and I went into the city to see "1000 Cameras" - a display of cameras made out of all sorts of different items by a man named Jo Babcock.

He literally creates working cameras inside of objects such as the ones below. It's so crazy, and very strange! After that, we went to another art showing a few blocks away for a bit.
(Above right (and the very first photo) is a photo of a bridge taken by the orange van camera in the photo on the left!)

Before leaving the city, we went into China Town to an asian restuarant called "100% Sweet"! I had strawberry crepe with cream and strawberries and ice cream... :) It was delish! Very fun night altogether!

How was your weekend?

P.S. Sorry for all the layout changes recently! Just tweaking till I get it good. ;)

Rain's a Comin'.

It's finally almost Friday! I feel like this week has gone by pretty slow! Maybe it's just me. I'm getting excited because it started sprinkling an hour or so ago! It's supposed to rain tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday! Yay! Finally! This is what our normal fall-winter consists of in Northern California....rain (when we aren't in a drought, that is!).

Today was mostly lax - I went to Noah's Bagel with Derek for lunch. Bagels are so good. Why do they have to be so bad for you?! :( Lovely day anyway - except, of course, prepping for my exams tomorrow! I have scary in-class essay for my AP US History class tomorrow along with a Pre Calc test! Eeep! I'm nervous. Tonight I'm going to a study session for math, so I'm hoping I'll get some help with that.

On another note, I'm actually really excited for Halloween! Usually I'm not because I can't get a costume together on time (I know, right? The girl who likes fashion doesn't know what to do for Halloween...) But this year I know what I want to be! I just have to get a few things for it now... :)
So, let's just say I really like this here outfit! The skirt is from my thrifting trip with my mom a few Fridays ago. It's a bit small, but it was seriously about $1.50 - I had to get it anyway. I got this sweater for my birthday back in September! I have been trying to save it, but I finally wore it for the first time yesterday! I like the stripes and such. Oh...and of course, my favorite shoes ever!

I hope you all have a great weekend! I'm going to try to enjoy myself, no doubt. ;) Talk to you soon!

Sun Shine

Hello dears... :) Derek just dropped me off, I'm home now from school, and I figured it was time I updated my blog a little earlier than 10:30 at night! These are photos from what I wore yesterday. I think that is how I'm going to do it. One day, take and edit the photos; the next day, write and blog it.

I've been sorta sad with many things happening in my life lately, including this blog to some extent for various reasons, but I'm trying to be positive. I'm playing with the layout still, because I feel I still don't have it how I want it. And I'm also playing with photos - trying to get the lighting and setting right. This shoot was a success, I believe. For that, I'm incredibly grateful!
Tonight I have a choir performance at the district office in my town - the school board picked us to perform for them! What an honor! ;) We are singing Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho - a pretty intense song. Hehe. Wish us luck!

Oh & I finally won a giveaway! I was/am so excited! Maria, of Lululetty, was giving away a locket from With Care, an etsy shop. When I receive it, I'll definitely add it to an outfit and show you all!

Have a great Tuesday!

Isn't this necklace pretty? Derek and I went to Petaluma on Saturday and looked around antique stores. He bought me this! My mom polished it up when I got home. The cuts in the silver make it shine! It's so lovely.

Also, hence this collar! Isn't it cool? From Thrift Town in SF, this blouse is vintage GAP! :)

Simple Melodies.

Just an hour from Friday, over here! I'm posting so late that most of you will probably see this on Friday, anyway. Oh well! :) This is Thursday's outfit post, hehe. I actually found time to run out into the street and take these! First time with this location...haha...something different?! YES!?

So, I just needed to post these photos but that's all I can write about right now - sleep is calling me! Have a great friday and a great weekend, loves!

No One's Got It All.

Lovelies, ♥. Hope you all had a nice Wednesday. I did... : ) It was my "easy day" at school, where I only have treble choir, Spanish 3, and rockband classes. They are all 90 minutes still (we have a two day per week block schedule at my school), but it feels shorter and easier. This afternoon I spent some time with my boy, finally. We used to hang out one day after school, but this year has been more difficult because he's busy with various things.

It's hot again, so I have yet again lied about autumn. It's so odd! Last week was chilly, this week is hot, and the weather says it's then going to be chilly again next week... Pshh, I'm giving up on being able to predict when fall is actually here. Gawsshhh.

About my last post - I'd love more advice about nice cameras, readers! I know you all use cameras one way or another - please let me know what you would recommend! I would appreciate it a lot!

I'm going to try to have another outfit post for tomorrow, but no promises... I have exams on Friday and lots and lots of homework... Eeep!
